In 2020, the World is Watching.
Europe is at a critical juncture - and 2020 will be a decisive year.
Join us from 6 - 8 March 2020 at Harvard University to shape a way ahead.
At home... a new European Commission and Parliament will be working full steam. A new EU budget will be ready and will signal what Europe hopes to stand for. A new relationship with the United Kingdom will be in the making. And European heads of state across the bloc will be approaching key milestones in their terms.
Beyond the European borders... the United States is preparing for its Presidential elections. China continues the pursuit of its global ambitions, while Russia solidifies its influence across Europe’s neighborhood. Climate change is approaching the point of no return. Media and technology are becoming synonyms of skepticism, rather than trust. And multilateralism is on the brink of disintegration, with world leaders questioning whether the future belongs to globalists.
As the European project turns 75, Europe must find its place amid so many transitions. A place where it is the subject rather than the object of world politics. A place that is no longer a perpetual utopian dream, but our shared proud present.
The World is Watching. Is Europe ready to pave the way?
