Honorary Consul, Honorary Consulate of Romania in Boston
Dan Dimancescu is founder of a company offering management consultancy services to high-tech companies, author of books on management and high technology policy, and has served as a short-term faculty member at the Thayer School of Engineering and the Tuck School of Business (both at Dartmouth College), Boston University Business School, and the Institute for Technology and Man (France). He studied at Dartmouth College, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and the Harvard Business School. He is also originator of four expeditions and author of two for the National Geographic Magazine and the president/executive producer of a Boston-based documentary film production company, Kogainon Films. He received grants from the Ford Foundation and the National Endowment of the Arts and is the co-founder of Washington based Alianta.org, a Board Member of the Foundation for Carpathian Conservation (Romania) and the Maria Nobrega Foundation (Brazil, UK, US, and Romania). In 2005, Mr. Dimancescu was appointed Honorary Consul General of Romania in Boston. He is a dual citizen of the United States and Romania.
